Winn library bond passed by two-thirds margin

The total voter turnout was small, but the winning margin could be considered a "landslide," as Winn Parish voters approved a $2,435,000 bond issue on April 21, to build a new Winn Parish library.

According to report by the Louisiana Secretary of State's election night tally, the vote was 683 (83.36%) for, and 395 (36.64% against.

Parish Librarian Mary Doherty said with clear sailing ahead, funds from the bond issue are expected to be received in early August.
